PORTLAND SWINGMAN TEARS ACHILLES

The Portland Trailblazer's Wesley Matthews has suffered a torn achilles and is out for the rest of the season.  Much like Kobe's injury, Matthews was just taking a step to the basket which he has probably done million's of times but this time his achilles gave out on him.  This affects the trailblazers a lot going forward.  They just acquired Aaron Afflalo to help there bench play which is second to last in the league.  This injury means that now he is going to have to start for the blazers which puts there bench production back a lot.  Going through the season lets see how this affects them and see if they can pull out the number 3 seed in the wild wild west.

  1. So unfortunate, it's been a career year for Matthews too! Portland just hasn't looked the same since he went down. They could definitely uses his 15 points he averaged during the season right now in the series against Memphis. Hopefully they'll figure it out and make a deep run at a championship!

  2. Injuries in basketball can get pretty serious and take awhile for recovery, especially if it's anywhere on the leg, which holds all your stability. I don't follow basketball too much, but I hope Portland got their situation figured out!

  3. Matthews is so good too, he is on my 2k15 team and he's not injured. I do like the Blazers though so lets hope he makes a nice come back.

  4. I had high hopes for the trailblazers especially after the trades they got strengthening their bench. I would have liked to see them go deeper into the playoffs. But Memphis is a tough series for anyone.
